Plans are underway for a new attraction on the waterfront at Pine Bluff Regional Park. An outdoor amphitheater capable of hosting national recognized musical acts, as well as local community events is scheduled to be complete in time for the "Smoke on the Water Festival" in September.  The Smoke on the Water Festival  Association has committed to promote five concerts annually in addition to bringing back the Pine Bluff Blues Festival.

The theater will feature an elevated stage large enough and equipped for professional touring acts.  Dressing facilities will be available. Phase II improvements include concessions, public restrooms and expanded parking. Pine Bluff Parks and Recreation will oversee the daily operation of the amphitheater.
