The Nelson Architectural Group employees are each committed to providing quality services to our clients. Currently, our staff
consists of seven professional/technical staff members and two support staff members. From the development of design, to
construction inspection and executing contracts, our team provides constant hands-on supervision of all vital tasks. Our staff is

Since founding the firm in 1976, Mr. Nelson has been the architect for a broad range of
commercial, residential, industrial, religious and educational projects. He has served as
the architect on projects such as The Arts and Science Center for Southeast Arkansas,
Johnny B. Johnson Housing Complex at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff,
Renovation of First United Methodist Church of Pine Bluff, and University of
Arkansas at Pine Bluff Master Plan Studies.
Henry D. Sadler, Jr.
Education: University of Arkansas - School of Architecture -1979

Professional Experience:
Mr. Sadler has thirty-five(35) years experience in the field of construction and
architectural design. He has served as project architect and project coordinator on
various projects including The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff School of Business
and Management and Townsend Park Elementary School. He recently served as project
architect on Golden Lion Stadium for the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. He is
currently serving as owner's architectural representative for Jefferson Regional Medical
Center in their new 14 million dollar expansion project.
Richard E. Taylor
Education: University of Arkansas - School of Architecture

Professional Experience:
Mr. Taylor has been employed by the Nelson Architectural Group, Inc. since 1977. He
recently served as project manager for the Southeast Arkansas College Advanced and
Emerging Technology Center. Mr. Taylor has also managed major projects such as The
Dumas Municipal Complex, Simmons First National Bank Building Remodeling and
The Jefferson County Detention Facility. Mr. Taylor is responsible for coordinating
the production of our firm's computer-aided design and drafting.
Julie Socia Donaldson
Education: Pines Vocational Technical College
Architectural CAD and Interiors
Professional Experience:
Ms. Donaldson has twenty-eight (28) years experience in architectural detailing for
drafting firms in central Arkansas. She is knowledgeable of construction methods and
materials. Her priorities revolve around assisting our team in producing logical,
economical buildings for our clients. She is involved in the production of construction
documents for every project in our office. Ms. Donaldson joined our firm in 1983 and
currently serves as senior CAD operator.
Mike Parette
Construction Coordinator
Professional Experience:
Before coming to the Nelson Architectural Group, Mr. Parette served twenty-two
(22 ) years as Facility Manager for a local financial institution having responsibility
for the main headquarters, seven branches as well as rental office space. He currently
serves as The Nelson Architectural Group’s Construction Administrator, assisting
the architects with on-site observation during construction, shop drawings and
communication with contractors. His practical knowledge of building components
and systems maintenance is an asset to the clients we serve.
Jeanne Spann
Financial Manager
Education: University of Massachusetts @ Lowell- BS Accounting 1976
Registration: Certified Public Accountant 1983

Professional Experience:
Ms. Spann entered public practice in 1986 after serving as office manger for a Pine
Bluff law firm. She has served as the Nelson Architectural Group's CPA since that
time. Ms. Spann assumed the additional role of financial manager for the Nelson
Group in 2000. She also maintains her practice in Pine Bluff serving various local
businesses.
